Creative Teams Budgets Production Technology
How I workGood planning isn’t paperwork for its own sake. It’s how I protect the idea, the budget, the deadline, and the people responsible for bringing it to life.
I work backward from what the audience needs to experience, then turn that goal into a plan the client, leadership team, and crew can all understand.
Where I add value
I know how hard it can be for creative and production teams to explain an idea before anyone can see it. I help leadership understand the audience impact, cost, risk, and return—then turn the approved idea into a plan the crew can execute.
Define what the audience should see, feel, or do—and why the idea matters.
Translate the vision into scope, budget, risk, and a return the business can understand.
Turn approval into the right people, workflow, technology, rehearsal, and delivery.
That’s how I approach everything from a one-day shoot to a five-stage livestream: earn confidence early, plan honestly, and give the team room to do good work.
01 · PACE streaming
Streaming the convention had been tried before, and the experience left the team skeptical. I saw the potential, kept making the case, and earned approval to try again—with a plan built around the problems that had stopped it before.

The convention center’s internet couldn’t reliably support five stages. I worked out a partnership with Resi and built the workflow around five encoders. For a remote location with no cell service or ISP infrastructure, we brought in Starlink and streamed from a place that otherwise could not have gone live.
Across 73.5 hours of programming, customers responded with real excitement and immediately asked for the streaming product to return the following year.

Product lead + builder
From idea to working beta
I designed and built a simple way for coworkers to know when someone is available. It connects calendars, calls, meetings, office displays, team status, and more.
The first release included Google and Microsoft calendar support, an Alexa skill, a Chrome extension, custom work hours, and working beta users.

Producer + director + operator
One narrow window · no time to hire a crew
The artist was already coming to Austin for something else, giving us one chance to film. There wasn’t time to find and hire a crew, so I previsualized the camera positions, lighting, and overhead shots, then built and ran the entire setup myself.
We captured an opportunity that otherwise would have passed—and delivered the kind of polished studio session that would normally take a three-person crew.

Live production + technical direction
Multiple sets · remote feeds · live switching
I worked through camera checks, lighting, audio routing, Zoom feeds, set changes, and transitions during rehearsals and the live show.
The technical side stayed out of the way, so the artists could teach and the audience at home could stay focused on the work.

Visual + technical creative director
Superdome + Convention Center · team of 10–13
I led the video creatives across both venues, set the visual and technical direction, and made sure the team understood what mattered and how our coverage fit together.
We created a coordinated visual system and captured the experience consistently across a massive, fast-moving live event.

Beyond the control room
Listen first. Understand what matters. Build trust with the people in front of the camera, then bring the story home with care.

I try to be the leader I wish I’d had as a young creative: set a clear direction, give people room to grow, and step in with guidance when it will genuinely help. The goal is strong work and a team that becomes stronger while making it.

Based in Austin, TexasFrom creative vision to business value
Creative and production teams often see the idea before they have the language to win support for it. I help turn that vision into a case leaders can act on: what it will do for the audience, what it will take, what it will cost, where the risk is, and how we’ll know it worked.
I can talk priorities, tradeoffs, and ROI with executives, then bring those decisions back to the team in language that helps them do better work. Because I started behind a camera, I know the difference between an ambitious idea and an unrealistic plan—and how to help a strong concept survive the trip from pitch to delivery.
